The basic idea of the 3rd International Conference on Applied Teaching, entitled "New Challenges in Education", is based on the acceptance that once modern societies are constantly evolving, education systems must be flexible, adaptable to these developments and to the constantly changing world. Undoubtedly, modern data require major adjustments in the curriculum, but also in teaching and learning. In this context, we are called upon to review and revise the way we approach knowledge and learning and also every teacher is invited to plan activities with which to approach the conditions and requirements of modern times. Under these considerations the objective of this Conference is to highlight innovative practices, trends, perspectives, modern pedagogical guidelines and explore the new challenges for education through ten key components which are also the thematic areas of the Conference. We consider it important that apart from the publication of the Proceedings, our goal is that the main conclusions of this Conference will be grouped by theme and sent to schools to be a proposal, but also a frame for dialogue and further elaboration by the educational community. Besides, if we accept John Dewey's proclamation that every genuine form of education is born out of experience for experience and through experience, then this Conference aspires to promote a vivid way of connecting knowledge and experience, to mobilize thoughts and feelings and encourages creative expression.
